A Few Words
My name is Ben Masters and I have worked as a Geospatial Consultant & Commercial UAS Pilot for Theorem Geo since July 2015. In this position, I have been fortunate to have been involved with just about everything Theorem Geo has done. I’ve worked on a wide variety of interesting projects and analyses including Theorem Geo’s Storm Suite, CartoVid, flood risk analyses, near-real-time storm surge analyses, terrain hazard analyses of transmission line corridors, and creation of orthoimagery and 3D point clouds via UAS data collection, among other things. In addition to these unique projects, I provide product and project management support both internally and for our external clients daily. Within the geospatial field, some of my interests include remote sensing, utilization of UAS for data collection, and machine learning.
I am originally from New Jersey, but I completed my undergraduate degree in geography at the University of Maryland in 2015. I am currently enrolled in North Carolina State University’s Master of Geospatial Information Science and Technology program, where I hope to continue my growth and development in this field.
Outside of work I enjoy traveling, cooking and eating great food, golfing, and spending time with friends and family. I am also an avid New York and Maryland Terrapins sports fan.
